Climate Change For Planetary Health

Daystar University is organizing its Annual Scientific Conference, hosted by the School of Communication from August 13^th to 15^th 2025. The theme of the conference ‘Climate Change for Planetary Health' is timely and sets the pace ahead of the November 21st COP30 in Belém, Brazil. Climate change in the context of planetary health highlights the interdependence of human and Earth health. This conference aims to strengthen multidisciplinary research in advancing planetary health as a key component of climate action, driving meaningful discussions across various research dimensions. It will draw participants from diverse disciplines, including but not limited to communication, sciences, education, economics, law, psychology, agriculture, health, business and religion. The conference will feature interactive panel discussions, keynotes, and paper presentations in breakout sessions with leaders and executives from academia, government and industry.

Call for Abstracts: The organizing committee invites submissions of abstracts and papers for the hybrid conference, in person at Daystar University - Valley Road Campus, Nairobi Kenya and online. Details of the access link will be provided to accepted conference participants.
